Some things you don't outgrow.
Marbelo began in our grandmother's playroom.
Between piles of National Geographic magazines and shelves of board games, we spent hours playing Marbelo.
My brothers, cousins, friends — whoever was around. It didn’t matter how old you were or whether you’d played before.
We argued over it.
Made up over it.
Learned not to be sore losers over it.
And we've played it ever since.
In 2024, something happened.
We met my brother’s girlfriend’s father for the first time on Christmas Day.
He’d flown over from England.
Everything started politely — the flight, the weather, the kind of conversation that goes slowly.
My brother suggested we play Marbelo.
Within minutes, people were calling shots, grabbing marbles, celebrating.
No one was thinking about what to say next.
I looked up and realised this man we’d just met felt like part of the family.
That was the moment.
We're wired to play. We just don't do it enough anymore.
So we took the original game and rebuilt it.
Faster.
Refined in its design.
Engineered to feel right in play.
Tested with over 200 players.
When people play, the whole room radiates.
That’s what Marbelo is about.
